New anime announcement — Project Rasengan Wiki

---

Quick answer

The latest confirmed news is the October 2026 New York Comic Con announcement of Project Rasengan, the NARUTO franchise revival covering four projects. The NARUTO CARD GAME follows in June 2027, with SHADOW RISING details due at Jump Festa 2027. Here is what matters for New anime announcement.

Because the initiative is broader than a single game, this page separates what is confirmed from what remains unannounced. The card game is the clearest timed release. The anime and mobile projects still need official dates.

Official status

Project Rasengan is not an invented fan label. It is the official umbrella used for the NARUTO franchise revival. The four projects are meant to span anime, manga, trading cards, and mobile gaming over a long-term roadmap.

The NARUTO x NINKU anime is a limited crossover series supervised by Masashi Kishimoto together with NINKU author Koji Kiriyama. SHADOW RISING is a new manga project drawn by Kishimoto. The card game and mobile game extend the franchise into tabletop and mobile play.

• NARUTO x NINKU limited anime: Supervised by Masashi Kishimoto and NINKU author Koji Kiriyama. Premiere date: TBA.
• SHADOW RISING manga: A new manga project drawn by Masashi Kishimoto. Details: Jump Festa 2027, Dec 19-20, 2026.
• NARUTO CARD GAME: Worldwide launch confirmed for June 2027. Deck: 51 main cards + 5 Chakra cards + 1 Summon card.
• NARUTO mobile WORLDWIDE: In development. No release date, no confirmed preregistration.
• Roadmap: Announced at New York Comic Con 2026 and planned across 2027-2029.

Release timing

NARUTO CARD GAME is confirmed for June 2027 worldwide. SHADOW RISING details are scheduled for Jump Festa 2027 on December 19-20, 2026. No public premiere date is available for the NARUTO x NINKU anime.

NARUTO mobile WORLDWIDE is in development, but official materials do not include a release date or preregistration link. Treat every other date you see elsewhere as unverified until NARUTO's official channels confirm it.

Why it matters

For fans searching Project Rasengan new anime announcement, the important point is the structure: four projects, not one platform. That distinction matters for release tracking, because manga, anime, cards, and mobile game announcements will not all arrive together.

The card game's June 2027 launch gives the roadmap a firm anchor. Jump Festa 2027 gives the manga a concrete next update point. The anime and mobile projects have status and creative details, but dates remain TBA.

How to follow updates

The safest sources are the official Project Rasengan page, NARUTO's official site and X account, the official YouTube channel, and the NARUTO CARD GAME site. For the mobile project, the official Instagram/X account is the relevant channel.

When a new announcement appears, check three things: whether the source is official, whether the date is explicit, and whether the announcement names the exact project. That helps avoid mixing rumors from different NARUTO projects.

Practical next steps

If you want a starting point, read the beginner guide for the whole initiative, then bookmark the release schedule page. If you care about the card game, study the deck structure and card types before the global launch.

If your main interest is the manga, wait for Jump Festa 2027 details. If you care about the anime, treat the crossover's creative team as confirmed but the date as unannounced.

What was announced at New York Comic Con 2026

This section gathers what official channels have confirmed about New anime announcement. Project Rasengan was unveiled at New York Comic Con 2026 as the official revival plan for the NARUTO franchise. Four projects were confirmed: the NARUTO x NINKU limited anime, the SHADOW RISING manga, the NARUTO CARD GAME, and NARUTO mobile WORLDWIDE. The launch trailer was posted to NARUTO's official YouTube channel.

The announcement defined the scope of the revival: anime, manga, trading cards, and mobile gaming, planned across 2027-2029. It also gave the card game a firm worldwide date of June 2027. That combination of breadth and a concrete date is what made the announcement stand out.

The card game's show-floor presence

At NYCC 2026, the card game appeared at the BANDAI CARD GAMES booth #2705, with the NARUTO booth at #3001. Tutorial sessions were offered each morning on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants received a CP-001 Chakra card sticker as a giveaway.

An official commemorative playmat was also announced for a 2027 release at an MSRP of $35. These details were published on the NARUTO CARD GAME site's event pages. They give collectors concrete items to track even before the game's launch.

The wider 2026-27 event tour

Beyond NYCC, the card game is part of the BANDAI CARD GAMES Fes 2026-27 tour, with stops including London and Orlando. The official site also lists appearances at events such as Gen Con, Lucca, Paris Games Week, PAX AUS, Spiel Essen, and Tabletop MA.

Each event has its own page on the card game site with photos and details. For players outside the United States, these stops are the most realistic chances to try the game early. Checking the official event pages avoids missing local dates.

How to verify the next announcement

The official hub, NARUTO's X account, and the official YouTube channel are the primary sources. The card game's X account and YouTube channel cover tabletop news specifically. For the mobile project, the official X and Instagram accounts under the NTMGamePJTJP handle are relevant.

Announcement seasons matter too. Jump Festa in December is the traditional stage for manga news, so SHADOW RISING details there fit the established pattern. Treat out-of-season rumors with extra caution until an official channel confirms them.

Common mistakes to avoid

A common error is treating fan reports from the show floor as official statements. Photos and impressions are useful context, but only the official channels carry confirmations. The card game site published the booth and giveaway details directly.

Another mistake is sharing reuploaded announcement videos. The official uploads are on NARUTO's channel and the card game's channel. Checking the uploader takes seconds and prevents most misinformation.
